This project is broken up into three parts:
- Me in 15 years - on an 8x17 piece of paper (provided) brainstorm what your life ideally looks like in 15 years. What are your dreams in regards to the 6 main facets of life: Vocation, Relationships, Community Involvement, Recreation, Spiritual, and Life Skills. Full colour, images, and effort required.
- Personality and Career Profiles (3) - take the personality quiz and read through the results. Using a graphic organizer (discussed in class) explore the similarities and/or differences you see in connection to PART 1 and the results. Then write a comprehensive summary and reflection (min. 2 paragraphs).
- Research, Professionals, and Presentation (3) - choose three career possibilities that interest you most - even if it's not listed in the results of your personality test. Research these careers in depth - pay, benefits, education, "downsides" etc. Using a P.M.I. chart, outline what you find positive, negative, and interesting about each career. Choose one of your careers and actually contact a professional* in the field of work and talk to them about the realities of their job and career choice. The final part is the presentation and reflection - your choice; you may put everything into an essay, a PowerPoint, a Padlet, etc.
*Meet and clear it with Ms. Citton first.
