Course Outline
Welcome to Program Support 9.
What is Program Support?
Program Support is a unique course designed to help you succeed in all of your academic subjects. It will focus on skill building and experimenting with strategies that will benefit you throughout high school and life beyond Notre Dame. This course will focus on paragraph and essay writing strategies, time & course management, research and presentation skills, note-taking and test taking strategies as well as cooperative learning. Throughout the year, we will also look at relevant social issues effecting teens today, media literacy and safety as well as other topics of interest.
Please note: Program Support is NOT a homework block. Students may sometimes be granted time to complete some homework assignments during the class; however, PS has its own curriculum and its own assignments. Students will receive individual attention and assistance to provide them with homework and social skills. Personalized lessons will focus on helping the student to further understand coursework. Subject areas are subjective to the areas in which the student needs assistance.
