"Expression Heals the Soul"
In a GoogleDoc shared with [email protected], use one or more of the videos to either agree or disagree with the topic above. In your composition, you can include aspects from your imagination, and/or real life. PLAN your composition first.
Your task:
Once you have had your monologue edited by at least two people, and you've edited it yourself, your task is to create a podcast. Record your monologue using Garage Band (Mac), Audacity (PC), or other recording software. Once you've finished recording and publishing, post it on your website on the "Media Studies" page with a Title and Date. To upload your podcast, drag the "AUDIO" button over and follow the prompts. Today: Character Sketches - one on Ms. Citton (together); one on yourself, and one for homework. Homework: Go to Starbucks, the mall, the movies, somewhere populated with a lot of people and do some people watching. As you silently pass judgment on others, choose one person who sparks your attention and who you assume is from a different culture, race, practices a different religion etc. Write a character sketch that identifies three of their personality traits. Do not forget your support and evidence as well as MLA format.

Racism does not exist. Agree/Disagree. Why? Why not? Homework: Cultural Artifact Show and Tell Go home and choose a cultural artifact that represents your culture. Take a photo or it, or bring it to school on Wednesday. In point form, with at least three points, explain why your artifact represents your culture. Be prepared to share with your classmates.
