About Me
I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario so yes, I'm a Leafs fan; but don't tell anyone. That being said, I have to admit that I am also a Canucks fan. Sure, go ahead, tell me I can't cheer for both teams - I will wear both jerseys with pride.
I moved to Vancouver in 2005 after spending three and half months in Italy on a pilot program called Centro Scuola. If there's any advice I can give you it would be to study abroad if you can. The experience of studying in Italy was one of the most rewarding and influential experiences of my life. I am truly grateful and blessed that I was able to have that experience.
I graduated from high school from Rockridge Secondary in 2006 before attending the University of Victoria where I earned both my Bachelor of Arts degree (majoring in English; minoring in History) and my Bachelor of Education degree (Secondary). Most recently, I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master's degree in Education: Curriculum Design and Implementation.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 6 years old. To the right, is a visual story of how I became a teacher - an assignment for one of my Master's classes. My mom is the most influential person in my life - she is one of the main reasons I became a teacher (hence being in the roots). I love to learn, and try new things. I'm very passionate about teaching and learning and hope that some of that passion and zest for learning is passed on to my students.
This year I will be teaching Humanities 8, Flex 8, and Career Education 9. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me using the contact form below, or sending me an email: [email protected]
